When you use our app, your personal data (hereinafter referred to as “data”) will be processed. The data may include, for example, your name, address, email address and other information about you. Processing basically represents any way of handling this data.

Purposes and legal basis for our data processing

  1. Registration

You can use our app to register with us. The data entered is then stored on our servers and used to carry out your interactions. This data will not be passed on to third parties unless this is necessary for the execution of the contract. The legal basis for processing the data is Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 b) GDPR.

As part of the contract with you, we also process data in order to show you recent uses and to make appropriate suggestions for further uses, including partner services.   1. E-mail contact

You can contact us at various points in the app using the email address provided. The transmitted personal data, in particular the email address itself, is stored. This data is not passed on to third parties. The data is used exclusively to process the request. This data is processed on the basis of Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 b) GDPR, provided your request is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures. Deviating from this, the user's consent to the individual features is the basis for the processing activities. If there is no consent to the above functions, the user cannot use them in the app.

  1. Location-related information

We use location-based information . The position data sent by the tracking units is then displayed within the APP. These refer to the following data:

  • Current live location
  • Routes traveled, these are kept for 12 months
    • downtimes
    • Duration of the trip
    • Average speed
  • Speed ​​evaluation

In addition, the user can create so-called “geofence / virtual fence” areas within the app. In the event that an object enters or leaves this area, an in-app notification and a push notification (if enabled) are sent. The user must consent to the function in advance, the legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 Sentence 1 a) GDPR. If there is no consent to the function mentioned, the user cannot use the app.

  1. Camera and microphone

The app requires access to the microphone and camera. This is needed to easily capture the device serial number and IMEI number via QR code. There is no further use of the camera and microphone. The user must consent to the function in advance, the legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 Sentence 1 a) GDPR. If there is no consent to the function mentioned, the user cannot use it.

  1. Data transmission by location units

The tracking units themselves send us the following data, regardless of whether they are evaluated or not:

  • Longitude and latitude
  • Current time according to GPS
  • GPS/GNSS status

  1. IT security

Finally, we also process data in your and our interests in order to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and availability of the data processing systems, i.e. in particular the security and availability of your data at Yukatel GmbH . It is not possible to use our app without processing data for this purpose. The legal basis for the processing of this data is Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 f) GDPR; Our legitimate interest lies in the maintenance and safe provision of our services.

Data transfer beyond the borders of the EU

The data we collect is stored exclusively on servers in the European Union. Data will not be transferred to companies outside the European Union without your express consent. This also applies to service providers commissioned by us to process data.

 

Data recipient

Based on our contract with you or based on your consent, we will only transmit your data to or receive it from the recipients you have selected via a secure connection.

So that we can offer you all the functions at Yukatel GmbH , we also use selected service providers who process data on our behalf and on our behalf. We only pass on data to service providers carefully selected by us and commissioned in writing within the scope of legally permissible order processing. They only receive the data that is necessary to fulfill the order.

This includes the following categories of contractors: software developers, server hosts, newsletter senders, customer support, web analysis services.

 

Duration of data storage

We store your data for the duration of your account with Yukatel GmbH . However, you can cancel or block your account at any time. We will then delete your data unless we are legally obliged to continue storing or retaining it. If the data is still required to process outstanding transactions, deletion will only take place after these transactions have been processed.

Use of cookies

The app uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device via the browser and allow you to recognize it on a subsequent visit. This is done using a cookie ID, a uniquely identifiable number that many cookies use.

Data processing through implemented plug-ins

  1. Google Analytics for

  1. Google Maps (for Android devices)

In our app we use Google Maps (API) from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”) for Android devices. Google Maps is a web service for displaying interactive (land) maps to visually display geographical information. By using this service, our location will be displayed to you and any journey will be made easier.

When you access the sub-pages in which the Google Maps map is integrated, information about your use of our website (such as your IP address) is transmitted to Google servers and stored there; this may also result in a transmission to the servers of Google LLC. come to the USA. In our app we use Apple Maps for iOS devices.
